Just been reading your post and all the replies with a huge smile.

Completely understand where you're coming from, also in a rented house with a garden jam packed full of lovely flowering shrubs and loads of weeds.

Apart from giving the daisys and buttercups a weekly hair cut and fighting with weeds I recognise I've decided to let the garden go with the flow for a full year to see whats really there.

The front garden has been overtaken with a wild flower which most people would remove, but it produces masses of pretty blue flowers so I have decided to leave it alone for now. After all isn't the definition of a weed - a plant in the wrong place.

Good luck with the jungle!

I've almost reached the same point myself: I have a few things to keep control of (mostly those crawling buttercups!), but otherwise things are in hand.

Have a bit of a problem at the moment as I noticed water running under the fence from next door almost constantly - part of the garden is turning into a mud pit and no one seems to be home! Aaaargh!

I shall look forward to seeing the garden unfold - and I wish you the best of luck - methinks some blisters are on the way
