I too like Chris Beardshaw's flying gardener programme, and his banter with the helicopter pilot.

It is nice to see the countryside from the air.A birds eye few as you might say.

I met him at one of our local garden centres last year, and he is even better in real life.

I got his autograph, which I shall treasure.

    Very nice pleasant man.

Also met Geoff Hamilton, years ago before he passed away, though didn't think at the time to get his autograph.Haven't met any of the others though

    1st Geoff Hamilton
    2nd Chris Beardshaw
    3rd Monty Don
    4th Carol Klein

Used to like Tichmarsh, but personality gets in the way.

Monty Don may not be the best gardener but I think he is one of the best presenters.

Also think Carol Klein's enthusiasm and experience is great.

I have to go with Geoff Hamilton, if it wasn't for his enthusiasm, I'd never have tried to garden

I can't stand the usual run of presenters - although Geoff Hamilton was great - give me the Becchgrove gardenes any day! ;)

Just reading in Amateur Gardening that Alan Titchmarsh is worth over £10Million,thats with his 40 gardening books,TV money, personal appearences, yachtand property not to mention his smutty novels :D You cant help but like him though even if he is a bit showbiz.
At least he is a trained gardener.....

I agree Roders - he ain't lost the gardener at all with all the rest. Like Monty Don, and like Geoff Hamilton - but you can add Roy Lancaster. His knowledge and enthusiasm for plants is just amazing.
