Has anyone used peppermint mulch? My landscaping contractor proposes peppermint mulch for the garden beds (which will take over a year for me to plant out so definitely need mulching). I've never heard of it and the only web page I can find on it mentions that it is a bit alkaline and can cause problems for plants.

PS. An alternative is to plant in green manuring crops and dig them in ... I have a large amount of several varieties of clover that is good for green manuring. Also legumes ... anything else that is beneficial?

Sorry never heard of that - your green manure plants sound a much better idea. [IMG]
