Winter plants for colour

    Hi what will everone be planting for winter?

    I am thinking of more helebores and new this year if I can get them hardy cyclamen.

    Thats a good idea ScotKat, i was wondering the same myself.

    I also put in some wintersweet which is a climber that flowers in winter with creamy waxy bell like flowers, yellow on inside and a lovely scent toboot hence the name [​IMG]

    Any idea's you may come up with let me know :D

    Get Saracocca or winter box. The flowers are not showey but the scent!!! It fills the garden with scent in mid winter. If you have room get a Viburnum bodnantense, but it is a big shrub. Lovely pink flowers and hyacinth like scent. winter flowering cherry. Best cyclamen for winter is Cyclamen coum.

    Might get a Viburnum bodnantense myslef Geoff, good idea :D

    Scotkat I have small part of my garden that I have "done" in a woodland style, some hardy cyclamen in my new patch would look great.

    If not I'll wait and plant some pale cream primroses I saw last year the setting would be great for them!
