Honey bush

    My honey bush has got a flower coming on it yet again! the frost never seems to get at it.

    Hi, Tropical Oasis, and welcome to GC!

    Pray tell what a "honey bush" is as I am not familiar with it at all but it sounds wonderful that it flowers and the frost never get to it!

    There are quite a few tropical and Med folk on here so you have a lot of people to question ... a perhaps give advice to! [​IMG]

    Honey bush is a Melianthus Major, the leaves smell like peanut butter! It has nice big leaves and bushes out to about 4ft with even taller brick red flowers which smell like honey. I'm int all tropical plants, my garden is full of palms,bananas gingers,cannas tree ferns exc......

    That is wonderful, TO ... well, you learn something every day and that is certainly new to me ... and I love peanut butter!

    It should grow well with me so may have to investigate it and then decide if I have somewhere to put it as I am over-populated already.
