Does anybody have any idea what the plant is in the attached pictures.:cnfs:

This has started growing in my garden. I thought it could be a weed but I can't find anything that looks like it on the web.

Its growing close to where I used to have a bird feeding station so I wondered if something in the seed mix had grown.

I would appreciate any ideas you might have.

    Thanks very much.

Its a weed, its appeared in my garden in the last few years and spreads.

    I'd get rid of it.
    Before it seeds.

    Thankyou Marley,

I see where your coming from, but I dont remember seeing any yellow flowers on mine, its as if the flowers are very insignificant, other than that the description seems to match.

 Yes it falls into the bracket of a weed in our gardens George, but it is a native wild flower of the UK...
These are the flowers but they are very small Pete, only about 1/4 of an inch across & they go over very quickly....

Thank you very much for the information and pictures Marley.:) It certainly looks like the stuff growing in my garden. I think I will keep it as anything that attracts bees is good for me, I will just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't spread too far.

Just pinch the seed heads off so it doesn't have a chance to set more seed then & you will be ok.. It is quite attractive, I also have some Water Avens & they are even more attractive, but don't spread so.. :thumb::D
