I planted a clematis last spring (I forget the name), small leaved evergreen... I moved it late last summer and it stayed over winter and went well in spring - for the last couple of months the leaves have turned yellow, could it be dying or just having a funny turn?

    Jay,

It could be manganese (Mn) deficiency brought on by poor drainage or low organic matter content in the soil, perhaps worth a try mulching with peat moss or compost.

Other members may have a different solution .. M-L

Could be roots are dry/too warm if not under stones. Also could be magnesium deficiancy. Try a good watering with a dose of Epsom Salts added

    Edit: RHS Advice: Magnesium deficiency
