Oh boy its right on the tip of my tongue ...... major- dunno why but the name has just disappeared from my little grey cells. Its gonna niggle me all night - hopefully I will get a eureka moment soon - or even better someone else supplies the name.

I know the plant well. It had been something I always wanted, and then when I finally got it -found it was too straggly for my taste - but the flowers were smashing.

Having just done a stint of Granddaughter sitting in Brighton where it was freezing cold..I pinched it from my daughter no 2s garden and yes there did seem to be a few self sets about thought I will have a piece of this... she had in big tubs it had draped itself around quite elegantly and yes was sprawley very decorative tho.

I have some of the cerinthe and just let it grow inbetween other tall plants so i don't see the straggly bits just the flowers poking out in various places.

    Beautiful flower.
