grass cutting time?

    hi all,i'm sure theres a topic somewhere here already,but i can't find it!when do i know i can cut my grass?the soil seems slightly squidgy but the grass is really growing now and i'm worried i may not get a dry again for a while!p.s i'm an amateur if you couldn't guess! :rolleyes:

    Hi dave, there is a complete section on lawns which you will find some good info on.

    If you let your grass get too long you start having to make hay from it as lawn mower does not go through it, if you don't let it dry up before cutting you churn it up - you may have to be the one that ultimately decides.

    Have a trawl through the lawn section - we are all in the same situation

    If you have a light-weight flymo type mower, you can do it sooner - I had to do it last week for one person, but I wouldn't use anything heavier, nad you have to have it relatively "un-squishy" underfoot! But, yes, it's frustrating! The grass IS growing, and by and large, we can't do anything about it!! ;)
