My Grandmothers fence has fallen down in the high winds over the weekend.Does anyone know of a charity or organisation who could possibly get it fixed/replaced for free? The problem is she lives off the state and can not afford to fix it on her own income as well as eat and keep warm this winter.
    Any ideas would be excellent!

Have you checked your grandmothers buildings insurance policy?

Not all insurers cover damage to fences (brick walls definately!), but is worth calling the insurers, they will do a meteorological check on the area to see there were high winds, it will mean that she would have to pay the excess on the premium (usually £50.00).

I do not know the ins and outs of Social services, but they could also be worth a call, they will know exactly who to contact, if there is anyone.

    Hope this helps.

    Nathan.
