This question may well have been asked before If it has point me in the right direction.

Are there any plants, shrubs etc that usually flower this time of year and add a bit of colour [ I don't like pansies] My garden is almost colourless.

Hans do a search on January Garden colour in the Beginners Section and you'll find some suggestions.

For me the best small tree/shrub is Prunus subritella (awful speelling I think).Other shrubs like Hamamaellis and Saracocca also good with excellent scent.

Primulas and Christmas roses add good colour, also you could try some little woodland cyclamen which love wet and cold conditions - planted in mass like daffs are absolutely beautiful.
