Can anyone give me a surefire way to get rid of these damn Muscariis please. I've dug them out for 5 years and yet they still come back as strong.
I've sifted the soil to remove the bulblets and, obviously, that's failed, and I've also cut the flower heads off as soon as they appear to stop them seeding.
Surely there must be something out there that will get rid of them once and for all ?!

Help me before I go mad - or move house (which seems the only option !)

Roundup! Takes a while and you need to bruise the foliage a little to get the stuff to go in rather than roll off.

Oh sugar! I've a patch I want to shift as well. They are growing through too many other things to be able to use Roundup though. :( Prolific self seeders and I've never found them particularly attractive

I have a bed I clear every year and it has taken years to get the numbers down, the bulblets are so small it's impossible to get them all.

And to think people put tese things in their gardens deliberately.

Many thanks Palustris - I'll give it a go.
Oh yes, and commiserations to frogesque - I promise you they are like the proverbial bad penny. They ALWAYS turn up every spring !!
Well, maybe not next spring - now where's that Roundup ?
