Fish keeping

Quite stunning tanks you have there mate! Really like your rockwork in seahorse tank. My partner has been keeping marines for around 4 years, and after learning by watching him(much like the garden) I set up a tank for seahorses a year ago...problem is it still doesn't have seahorses in it! It is currently inhabited by 1 pearly/yellow headed jawfish and a green mandarin. I don't have much grape algae in it any more, I prefer the look of the feather type. If you don't mind me making one small suggestion...although your kuda have lots of algae to hitch to, they may prefer a wider range of hitches. Love your corkscrew gorgonian(on my wish list) and this may do even better in your seahorse tank as it will be higher in nutrients. Hope you don't mind me saying. Have just joined but will get pics of tanks up soon, and am hoping to get seahorses in October :D

 

Yes indeed you do need to update nice algae btw have you still got any grape the saw tooth has taken over in my tank :.

 

I never really had a with it (I had red too but its gone :() I suppose its like anything some things do better for others etc .

 

nice tank I use to keep marines in 5ft tank but had to sell up in2009 due to space restrictions in our new house but i'm starting up again soon as been offered a 4ft tank

 

My word, this thread has brought back memories! A long , long time ago, l used to keep tropical fish. At the time, my 2 sons were probably 9 and 11ish, and l worked part time. I couldn't understand where my fish were disappearing to. I would get home from work, and there would be even less fish, than at luchtime, when l had to leave for for work.

It was about 10 years ago, when my youngest son, snitched on his elder brother. Apparantly, at luchtime, the eldest one used to have his schoolmates in, and sell the fish to the highest bidder.

And l had been blaming my poor, large Angel Fish, who l thought - prompted by my son, had been eating them. I even gave the fish away to the local Pet Shop.
