I have a large garage wall to cover and I have planted a Wisteria. What will this look like in Winter? Presumably bare. Should I plant Evergreen Jasmine or Ivy for winter colour or just leave. Would pink or yellow roses go with it if its planted 12 ft away.?

I have a pink Clematis Montana, with a Wisteria growing through it. The colours go very well together, and they are both in flower at the same time. I have since seen it in a book, as a fairly well known combination.

Great choice PeterS. What about extending the flowering season with a climbing rose such as Mme Alfred Carriere. The beautiful white blooms start to come out as the wisteria fades and then continues sporadically throughout the summer.

Good idea Rydall. I do have a climbing rose as well, but I don't like roses - they bite! :D

Thanks. I have this rose ready to plant but it says a north wall is best and this is in full sun. Will that matter. Also do you let them mingle togoether or keep them seperate?
