LILY OF THE VALLEY

When can I transplant them to a new part of the garden, and do they need a special position ?

I have Lily of the Valley and want to split them for a friend in Helston. According to the info I found, they are best moved/split in September -November and like a shady position. I've dug them up before anytime and moved them, they spread like wildfire anyway. :D
