Hi ââ?¬â?? can anyone tell me if they still make those plastic windmill/whirlygig garden ornaments that I remember from my childhood? Has anyone seen any in their local garden centres (UK) and if so which ones and where? i.e. man chopping or sawing wood, washerwoman etc

My internet research so far keeps taking me to America where a whirlygig folk art tradition exists but the cheap looking plastic ones are really what Im looking for.
Apparently they are a good mole deterrent but Im actually after them as part of an art installation.

    Any help appreciated

    James

Oh I remember them...they were tacky but fun. Think we had a wood chopper who went like the clappers in a gale..hilarious. I'll be interested to see if you get advice on where to get one now...sorry but I've not seen them lately.

Hi Janes and welcome, I know that up to 3 years ago they were still being sold, so you should ask at your nearest independent garden centre, they are more likely to help you than one of the multiples. David.
