Can anyone recommend a product that's good at killing moss on driveways. We have loads of it growing and no matter how many times we remove it, it always comes back thicker and faster. Thanks in advance.

Try Jeys Fluid, dilute at the recommended rate from the small tin, scrub with a yard brush I wouldn't trust the diluted cans of same to do the job as efficiently.

Dont think you will ever get a one shot permanant solution to this problem. Moss is a short daylight plant hence it shows in winter and disappear in summer. Annual treatment of Jeyes or even detergent will get rid of it but it will come back. these spores are in the air and dont need much to rest on to become established if the growing conditions are right, ie damp and shade.

I have a large patio and drive area. indeed to big to power wash every year as it takes a lot of time. I came across a usefull sprayer a couple of years ago see www.superspray.co.uk its a hose end sprayer in which you can apply any liquid feed to plants etc detergents, jeyes car shamppoo etc. Its a means to apply concentrate without using a bucket. I spray over the area a strong solution of detergent and leave it for 10/15 mins to 'work' then scrub over with ayard brush. Works well but dont do it on a sunny day or the detrgent will dry too quickly before doing its work. Better than spending money on specialist products many of which are soaps with extra phosphates added. Keep the drive free from leaves and debri from overhanging plants etc to minimise build up

I have been using Jay's Fluid and it works but I have to do it several times each year. [IMG] This year I went down on hands and knees and removed all the moss in between the paving blocks..... much to the amusement of most of my neighbours. [IMG] I have sprayed again with Jay's and am about to top up the sand between the blocks. I have also started to leave the car in the street on sunny days to allow the drive to get maximum sun on it. I will wait and see how it goes.
