Good Morning all...Hope you can help identify a type of aloe for me. It is a short stocky little chap with stubby "leaves" which are sort of varigated. It has had a pink "flower" that grew from the very centre, quite tall but not very spectacular. I seem to think someone told me the common name was a pheasant breast aloe or some game bird. What do you think.

    Hi Dillydo

Yes you've got it right or nearly it's 'partridge breasted' and grows well in my conservatory. Best kept on the dry side, but no major problems that I have come against

Dillydo, Aloe Variegata, it is a self perpetuating Aloe usually producing lots of offsets so you will always have a supply of them. [IMG]

    Ere John,

I was given an offshoot of Aloe by the Molly Maid rep who thought it may sway me to spend £249 to have them clean my house. Plant has grown on nicely but the cleaning never did get done, now where did those cobwebs come from.............
