WISTERIA

    hello,

    I have a very established wisteria which is growing over my summer house but it is now completely out of control. when can i cut it back and is there any art in doing this ?

    Afraid you've missed the best time for this year, Neil. You really need to do it by Feb at the latest, as it should be done before the sap starts to rise, as it "bleeds". Minor work can be done in August and February, but major stuff needs winter time.
