What's the best bush/tree to plant in shady conditions to suck up moisture from a permanently damp side of the garden (permanently in shade). It's about 50' from the house. I've thought about a Eucalyptus tree. Soil is mostly clay.

    Thanks

Do you really want one huge tree when you could have heaps of lovely plants that would really like your wet and shady corner?
    Why is it shady?

Alder or willow are usually good in wet conditions
