Please excuse my ignorance. I have a baby brug. (about 5"). I have it sitting on my windowsill in the kitchen. How long will it take to get as big as yours and how do i look after it? Will it live outside in Yorkshire or should i keep potting it up so i can move it under cover when it gets cold? I've admired them from afar for years and had mine given as a present, but there was no care label and my books are not committing to hardy/not.

Hi Joihann it will grow better outside but do watch out for the frosts keep potting it on as required, next year get it outside as soon as the danger of frost has gone, if you are keeping it in a pot look at ending up in a pot about 18" feed once a week keep well watered and it will end as big as b/mans. You can also plant it out in the ground when danger of frost has gone here it will develope into its true magnificence but remember these are trees and in the wild can grow 20-30feet if you did plant outside you will need to cut it back root prune put in a pot then a frost free environment till the following spring.I am experimenting this year and trying to overwinter outside with frost precautions will let everone know the results.
