Shiney/Mackem, when you have added all plants that you have to the shoot programme month by month an e-mail is sent telling you the needs of that plant for that time, ie.when to prune, when to feed , when to take cuttings what you should be doing, it has a large data bank of plants and if your plant isn't in it then it gets added and all the information on the plant as well,I'm pleased to say I have had quite a few obscure plants added, highly recommended.

    [IMG] Hi Keving,
I also have been using shoot since it started. I have never had any junk mail or emails via shoot. Just my monthly emails to remind me what do do each month in my garden. It is an excellent site. Nicola is a real driving force behind it & has taken it to a national status now. It just goes on improving as a site, all the time. She also gives good coverage of shows & gardens open etc. Good all round site. [IMG] :D

 Still do my spreadsheet though... :D

I started off with the spread sheet and I got some photos onto it and then I went onto shoot. Well just how much fun can you have on a compter on a wet afternoon. [IMG]
I have a bag with a good number of my plant labels and I went happily adding them onto the site. Even my husband was impressed. I was inspired to go and take some soft wood cuttings too.
Thanks for a great bit of info [IMG]

I do a bit in MS Access, would love to write a database for this. Not given this much thought but, what headings do you spreadsheet people have. Got quite a bit on at the mo, but this sound more interesting. If i pulled this off we could distribute this to any G.C member who was interested.

Indeed you all do sound organised! Most I ever did was to start a loose leafed book!

BTW did you know you can get as much out of using a table on Word/Office or whatever as you can a spreadsheet? Much simpler IMO.

    Hi all,

Nicola from shoot here. Thanks so much for your kind words about the site! It is so nice to stumble across these things. Working on the garden layout project, so hopefully will have something new to show you all.

    All the best
    Nicola
