I have a Photinia Shrub in a large pot and the leaves are covered in spots - What is causing this? and how and when can I treat it - concerned that all new growth will be affected. Simple replies please I am a learner!

    What sort of spots Pauline?
Black, white Is it a coating does it rub off.
Is it on old growth or are new shoots appearing already. Is the pot outside or in a greenhouse porch etc.

    Hi Pete,

Thanks for replying. The spots on my Photinia are round black/brown they are not a coating and do not rub off. They are on all of the old growth and I am worried they will affect the new growth just starting to come through. The pot is outside on my Patio area. Can you help. Thanks Pauline

    Hi,
Thanks for your help it certainly looks as though it is probably leaf spot so I will take the appropriate action.

Thanks again for your help, I will probably be back with more questions.

    Pauline
