I am unable to find info re the pruning of blueberry plants. Anyone out there who knows about them? I have a decent gardening library but not a lot about this fruit appears to have been written. Help would be greatly appreciated.

The instructions that came with my blueberries simply say "prune off dead or diseased parts then take off approx 1/3 of new growth".

Well, that would do the job, but the RHS advice is a bit more comprehensive!

Pruning is carried out after leaf fall, in mid winter while the plants are dormant.
For the first two years after planting, blueberry bushes will need very little pruning, mainly eliminating dead branches and dry leaves.
Removing the flower buds will encourage
vegetative growth instead of fruit production.
Blueberries must be ripe when picked, as they do not continue to ripen after harvesting.
