Lets start this again!!! My Constance Elliott passion flower, new this year, has only two shoots, both growing vigourously- how do I make more shoots?
Now, also any ideas on how often to feed outdoor cucumbers.
There, got it right this time!

    Hello Auntie!!!!

Nip out the growing tips, and it should bush out after a while.

As for the cucumbers, depending on what you are feeding them, what does it say on the can? I feed my greenhouse toms and cues twice a week. [IMG]

Oh - welcome to GC too!!!!! :D :D

Under this thread, I thought I would add that our neighbour has passion flower plants that come through the dividing fence and flourish under our covered carport.

These are bearing fruit, more so on the neighbours side. Are they edible, please?

Hi millymilly, its unlikely that the fruit will be edibile, its probably caerulea which is the common one grown here and although it produces orange fruits they are not usually eaten.
Edulis is the usual one grown for fruit and thats not hardy in the UK normally. [IMG]

    [IMG] Hi Auntie,
I feed my cues once a week normally & plenty of water in between. Try not to let the compost dry out completely, but don't waterlog them either. It sometimes helps to mist them in hot weather....!! ;) [IMG] :D

    Hi Marley Farley
that,s the first useful hint! They are improving and there are signs of activity. Not much help from the weather though, we are on sandy soil and it seems like forever since it last rained.Much water recycling needed here!

[IMG] Hang in there Auntie, this weather is making everything struggle... :( Keep misting, that should help. It is hard to keep up with watering this weather & the plants know the difference between rain water & us watering anyway...!!!! I think cues & toms suffer more as they like so much water & don't handle drying out..!! :D
