    Hi all,

I have loads of cucumber plants growing in my greenhouse, my question is: how many cucumbers does each plant provide?

I'm sure I won't be able to eat all the cucs from all of the plants...

They will eventually be planted out on my allotment.

    Thanks
    Stingo

it depends on what variety of cucumber you have.

how many runner beans on a plant ?????how many tomatoes on a plant????????
Set them all and give away the spares or give some of the plants away to other allotment buddies........easy.:gnthb:

    it will grow several...as opposed to 1, e.g 1 carrot plant = 1 carrot!!!

I am trying to be very strict this year and sow only what i want and a couple extra for losses, I have this morning potted up 2 strong cucumber plants and thrown out 2 weaker ones,I did pot 3 "Crystal Apple" type as i havent grown it before and it sounds nice. So thats 5 altogether more than enough for me and him indoors,
I have potted 2 to a pot courgettes as they all look good so i will sacrifice 1 per pot in a week or so.
I have about a thousand lettuces of differing varieties, and have potted some into large flower tubs as i seem to have less slug damage that way. :thmb:
My tomatoes seem very slow to germinate and dont mention chillies .

Grew cucumbers in our greenhouse last year. I guess lots of factors but seem to remember getting perhaps five or so per plant.
