Does any one grow hosta in full sun? I am thinking about using hosta in a sunny spot but not sure if hosta will suffer?

    Please let me know

Depending on your definition of full sun they might be OK as long as they are never allowed to dry out. They won't take a cooking in blinding hot sun with no other plants nearby to keep humidity levels up. Normally though they do better in full shade or semi-shade with maybe some late afternoon/evening sun.

    That looks lovely youngdaisydee!

You've a good mix there providing a moist microclimate for the hostas.

Yep grow mine in full sun keep them well moist, the only draw back is it bleaches the colour the variegation blends out they end up uniform, early in the year you can see the distinct colour variation but as the summer moves on they pale.

I have found that the Blue types are best in full sun.
