    Hi,
I do not know very much about growing anything but whilst in the kitchen cooking I decided to put some pepper seeds into an old plant pot and they grew! There were so many i planted them in compost 3-4 each into 12 pots. They are growing away on my windowsill amd I gave them each a plant food pellet (just a guess)
They sit on my window sill and just grow (i guess plants do!)
My question is; will that be enough to get peppers? Is it that easy? They seem to like daily or 2 daily watering and the cold doesn't bother them at night. How tall will they grow and what else do they need? When (if) will I get peppers?
any advice for a novice would be fab!
    (I have no garden/greehouse)
    thanks
    Trisha

Not being sure what variety of peppers - I don't know. However pot them up in singly larger pots and stick them outside and see what happens.
Keep 'em fed every two weeks but watch the watering.

They are red peppers...the kind you buy in the supermarket.
Unfortunately I cant put them outside as I live in flats and have no garden...just a window sill...will that not be enough?

Unless you have huge windows you are going to have to give some of your plants away. The plants probably wont get enormous. Last year i put three in a gro bag and that seemed to work fine. Keep watering and feeding as you have been and you should get peppers ok I think. I thought you meant pepper, like salt and pepper to start with

    Good luck

    Hi Mrs Cloudy,
You are so right! Just another question which may sound silly, but will they just keep growing up ok or do they need support? I wondered about sticks but will that damage the roots if I put them in now?
And also, if the roots start to show thru the bottom do they have to be repotted or can i just leave them?
    thanks!

The ones ive grown were ok without support but im not sure if it depends on variety. Id re-pot the ones you want to keep into no less than a 2 liter pot now. If you do that you shouldnt have to re-pot again. Have you tried tomatoes? If you are going to be watering and feeding some peppers it would be really easy to have a tom as well. You can get little plants in most garden centres at the moment.
