Mysterious shrub

    Hi can any one help? I Picked up what I thought looked Acornish and planted it indoors and it has come up with holly like oval shaped leaves can any one tell me what it is please [​IMG]

    Is it perhaps a Holm oak? These have shiny holly like leaves. There are also some Americam oaks with pointy leaves. What shape was the acorn? There is an oak in the local park here which has pointy leaves [but not shiny] which has very shallow cupped small flat acorns.
