I have roses, astilbe and red hot poker at the end of the garden, which gets drenched and puddled in winter and spring. Any other plants that will cope with this soil ?

    THANKS...... :eyes:

Hi Time and welcome. I too am in Yorkshire, on clay and have a pretty wet corner of my garden.

There are loads of plants that like it wet. Try Googling "Bog Plants", such as this http://www.wetlandplants.co.uk/acatalog/Moisture_loving_Bog_plants.html

In my damp corner I grow Eupatorium purpureum, Filipendula rosea, Astilbe, Monada, Lythrum, Lobelia cardinalis types eg Queen Victoria and Fan series, Hemerocallis and Salvia uliginosa (borderline hardy). In other areas I grow Primula, Liatris spicata, Althaea, and Schizostylis all of which would also be suitable. I also have a Hydrangea shrub, whose name implies it like water. And I was reading that Leucojam aestivum (summer snowflake) likes moisture and will actually grow under water.
