Calling all new veg & herb Gardeners, I have bought 2 new books from WH Smiths both cost £7.99p each and I must say they was worth every penny I spent.
Book 1) The Vegetable & Herb Expert - Book 2) The pest & Weed Expert
Both books tell you everything you need to know about How to get started, where to grow veg, types & varieties, how to look after them and about pest & diseases.
Both books have everything that I have wanted to know about. ;)
I will still look to all you expert gardeners for advice and I enjoy this site reading tips and advice and any problems I come across you gardeners are now like a best friend. [IMG]

well I won't allow myself to grow vegetables - too much waste of space that could be colourful!

I joined this book club - have to buy four books and get so many free, and it was a real struggle to pick from latest choice, so I picked from cheapest which was about growing veg in pots- so now I have house full of aubergines, sweet corn peppers........... oh everything - the power of books!

Boot sales are starting again, and you can pick up some real bargains. Last year I picked up some very good hardbacks for 20p each

Get round them and keep 'em peeled [IMG]

Also got some good quality gardening tools at very reasonable prices.

    Good exercise as well :D

I've done really well managed to plant all my seeds in pot trays. - Beetroot, Leeks, Cucumber, Cauliflowers, Peppers, Cabbage, Peas, Tomatoes, and Lettuce and herbs in the greenhouse.
In my raised beds I planted out Carrots, Onions, Potatoes and Swede.

My first year veggie growing and Im so excited cant wait for the whole lot to grow.
