onions and garlic

    could anyone tell me , when you should lift onion and garlic

    Hi Arwyn.
    Basically, when the foliage dies down. With onions (assuming they were planted this year), around september. Garlic, probably late july/august.

    I planted mine (onion and garlic) last Autumn and they have survived the winter, yay, but that's what I understand too that when the foliage dies down dig them up but leave them on the surface of the soil to dry out.

    i planted mine about 3 weeks ago, when should i be harvesting them

    is that to use them for seeding or do you have to do that with them. as i have onion and garlic.

    Think it's before you eat them not anything to do with seeding
