Can someone please identify

    I'm have just moved into my first house and am getting started with gardening i have this plant in the garden but don't know what it is. Help would be much appreciated

    I think it might be Japanese Knotweed, although I'm not 100% sure.

    I'm afraid that's probably what it is.:( But, if it's not too widespread, you may be able to keep on top of it.

    There's a small clump that comes up regularly in a garden I manange and I just pull it up as soon a it rears its head. So far it hasn't spread. However, if you have a lot of it, more drastic measures will have be taken and I'm sure someone will offer suggestions on how to deal with it.

    Hi Mouser & [​IMG]... :scratch: I think I agree with Jovi I am afraid.. Not something you want to keep I am afraid.. It is a real pest... This is a good site HERE about it.. Hope you get rid of it alright.. :thumb:

    Definitely Japanese Knotweed. Best of luck with it.
