aloe vera

    My Plan is to take them to my house in Italy and plant them out, as i've seen quite a few aloes in gardens locally. They look fantastic, but are expensive to buy. Some are huge over there, so if you get the conditions right they seem to grow quite big. I'm so desperate to get going with my garden over there, it is really hard to control myself here, so i bought a propagator and got started. lol. :)

    Only one small garden here, well more or less and potentially 1000 small gardens in Italy :help:!!! Why did i do it? - well, probably because i am mad! :rolleyespink:

    Hi - yes it does flower! A weird tall flower too - mine has been flowering for the past few weeks in the greenhouse, obviously likes the coolness! I am hoping to collect some seed eventually and see if it will germinate.

    Hi - do you have a picture? If not i'll google it. I'd be interested to how your seeds do, you'll have to keep us updated on that.

    Hi Ziggy - having now read up on the Aloe vera flower, yes they do flower in winter and spring so at least I know my plant is 'normal'...mind you the flowers on mine do not look as juicy as the stock photo ones in Google:

    I have aloe vera seeds and would like to grown them insdie and our if poss. Do I need anything in particular to grow from seed.
