For me its a camelia. I just love the shiny dark leaves and the tight (pink and red in our case) flowers. We have several plants and they bring so mich colour to the garden.

Gosh I'm not sure I could choose! I grew up on a Nursery growing fruit and veg so I just love growing things that we did then. Peppers, Cucumbers, Beans etc.. But Sweet peas really do it for me. I love their colour and they look fab whether out in the garden or cut and bought inside to sit on my windowsill :)

Runner beans! They start as a small hard seed, then grow like Jack and the Beanstalk all the way up my canes to the top..... and they taste delicious ! :gnthb:

Never tried runner beans, but they sound like something that the children might enjoy!

runner beans are great for kids to grow, if you put wet tissue in a jar and gently push the seed down the side you can see them germinate, once planted in a pot of soil they are the most prolific growers ever....you can almost watch them pile on the inches!

as for favorite...wow, so many. Flowers would be Penstamen as they are great for propagating and have a really long flowering season.
fruit/veg, probably toms, cause they have such a good yield
