Isn't it great to see new growth in the garden? It makes you think that winter is finally on the wane. I don't know about the rest of you but it certainly lifts my spirits ... as well as making me realise how much tidying up there is to be done even in a tiny garden like mine.:yahoo:

Well if there wasnt any tidying before these winds, there will be after!

There are certainly signs that springs approaching, which most definately...

Yes, it is just great ClaraLou.
The weather here is still pretty rubbish - but spring happens no matter the weather.
The daffodils are showing their noses, the buds on the Clematis and some of the shrubs are swelling and MIRACLE - the autumn planted garlic I thought was done for has appeared :dbgrtmb:
And there is so much more daylight

Yep, my primroses hav just started to flower, the daffs have got buds & weeds are spouting all over the compost i've piled around the veg plot.

Glad your garlic survived Alice, both my Effluent Garlics have come up & i,ve been rounding up other stray normal garlic plants & putting them together.

Right about the winds Luke, did you read about the met offices wind measuring thinger ? It auto shuts down at 114mph, they say it shut down for 3 HOURS last night !!!

"Pussy Willow is Willowing" :D Like it Robert:thumbsup:

It's a magical time Clare, I love seeing the first seeds germinating and the first bulbs poking through. It really gives me a lift :dbgrtmb:

I agree with you, Claralou, seeing the first buds, the shoots poking out of the soil makes the last dark months fade away with the anticipation and promise of the coming spring.
