Hello Mister.Milk and welcome to the forum.
I'm no expert in tropical plants - so just some general observations.
I can't see yellow leaves on your plant in the pics.
If the leaves are going yellow then brown at the base this might be normal. Just take the old leaves off.
If the leaves are going yellow all over then maybe the plant needs more light or I suspect less water.
Let it dry out a bit and see how it goes.
    Good luck with the project.

No Mister.Milk. It is not normal if the new leaves are yellow.
But it might be normal if the old leaves turn yellow then brown.
The old leaves are the ones at the base ( the bottom of the plant)
The new leaves are the ones at the top - they should be nice and green.

Hi & Welcome to the forum,

Probably light levels, middle of winter & all that, can you put it on a sunny window sill ?

You've done well for a year there. I would suggest keeping it somewhere cooler but frost free for a few weeks, to make it go dormant, then re pot it into a bigger pot with fresh compost.

During the summer growing season feed with a liquid plant food according to the instructions.

You may well get a fruit off it:dbgrtmb:

Oh no. I'm agreeing with Ziggy again.:D

Winter is not a good time for pineapples, being tropical the light in winter in northern areas tends to be a bit short.
Things should start to pick up soon, and a bright window would probably help.

Not sure about a lower temperature though, dormancy is not something they do well, and to keep them just ticking over in winter was always best, I found.

I'll agree with Pete on that bit then :D But I do think he'll need a bigger pot at some stage, just try and do it without root disturbance

but..but my windows really suck.. i meen ther arn't isolated..er..i forgot the english word..but in simple terms, wind can get through those windows..and every time i put my plant im afraid about roots,so they won get chilly,or frozen..damn my english sucks xP
anyway.. will the roots get frozen?

Your English is better than some of the English kids I know

Not insulated then, I see your problem. I don't think it would like the wind. You could wrap the pot up with a thick cloth, we do that here to protect tender plants in the winter.

Where are you, if you don't mind me asking ?:)

:WINK1: I have 2 pineapples growing in my greenhouse this year that I have overwintered in there... I never let the night time temp go below 10c.. Light level is very low because of extra insulation at present but no yellow leaves.... Put yours in the window in the daytime for light but move them into a warm spot in the room at night.. As long as they have roughly 12c hrs dark & 12 hrs light at this time of year they are doing well.. As the temps increase leave for longer periods in the light...

:WINK1: At this time of year keep them barely moist..... Water with rainwater at room temp & only water through the top of the plant... i.e. just enough to fill the little shelves the plant makes at the base of the leaves.. At this time of year you need to do it on a warm day.... About twice through out the winter is my experience with room temp rain water....... Once the temps start rising re-pot & feed as has been said, but stop feeding with grow feed as soon as a flower spike should appear... :WINK1:
