For some stupid reason I have ordered far too many Geranium Plugs - previous plugs have been re-potted and are sitting happily in the Greenhouse awaiting planting out - however, I received another 25 Plugs yesterday and just can not be bothered to re-pot them at this time of year.. Would they survive if I plant them straight into the border?

Hi Bleach my advice is to plant them outside once the danger of frost has passed for your area, when ever you think that is,I am going to plant mine outside tomorrow(1rst May) hope this is of some help to you:)

:) Hi Bleach and welcome to Gardeners Corner..........

In my book you can never have to many Geraniums lol.........a cheap and easy plant to grow and they don't need to much attention and can stand drought.
I would put them in two seed trays,12 ish in each in some multipurpose compost let them grow away until you are free of frost as Woo said and any spare, they look great in pots..........Colour EVERYWHERE........:thumb:

    Hi Bleach,

    Welcome to GC.

That is good advice from the others :gnthb:. It would be a pity to waste them.

To put things in proportion - that is a small amount of work (for the reward) and one of our other members, strongylodon, planted about 70,000 of them last year - I think :hehe:
