Where are you going this year?

Hopefully we shall see some folk's holiday pics.

We are going to Morocco in August on a tour, should be different.

Morocco was great, different world. You'll enjoy it.

No holiday for the forseable future, unless work picks up i'm afraid. Will have to be content with a wander round Brewers Quay, 50p boat ride across the harbour & some cockles from Weyfish.

Will be traveling down to Key West, Florida again in Mid-May for 2 weeks.
Have other things in mind for the rest of the year but not organized yet.

Somewhere in the west country for me this year. At least that's the plan, but work has gone a bit pair shaped so we might be going to Argate instead.

(Argate = Ar gate at the bottom of ar garden)

Central Italy for me - Abruzzo. I'm saving up all my holidays to take all at once in August and have 4/5 weeks out there. It's difficult to go anywhere else once you have a house abroad.

We are having work done to our old house to make an apartment for next year, so I will have to spend my holidays working on the land and garden. But the birds, the views, the sunshine, the wine, the food.... make up for all the hard work. Can't wait!

Staying in Portugal as usual, up to the Castle in the Sky and perhaps another castle or two.

We've had our main holiday and missed the snow :dbgrtmb:.

We went to visit family in Brazil, toured around with them for a while and stayed for a few days up in the mountains where they have recently had the disasterous floods. Then we did the touristy bits and visited the places along the coast from Rio up to the Amazon. From there went to French Guiana and on from there in a boat going across the Caribbean to Florida. We then stayed with family in Florida and met up with some friends there as well. Staying with family and friends saves a lot of money :D and gives a chance to see them.

Later in the year we shall pop up to the Lake District and hope to do some walking if my back and foot are better by then.

After the glorious sun, sights, sound and smells from our holiday last year, we have decided to go back to one of the most beautiful places on earth. It truly was a sight to behold. The beaches were great, the cuisine was world class, the locals were like no-one else anywhere. The culture, the boat trips, the coastal drives... Yes, thats right... were going to Great Yarmouth

There is nothing quite like the trickle of condensation from the caravan window on your face first thing in a morning... as your toes have turned to ice... and you can see the vapour from your nostrils... cant beat it. :th_scifD36:

Wierd how the kids seem to love it. :(

Hey Luke, you really made me smile, thank you.

I spent every year of my holidays in the late 50s/early 60s in a caravan in Great Yarmouth and I loved it ... and have the photos to prove it!

    Enjoy!

    Hi,

Thought I was just off to Devon for a quiet couple of weeks (after TT here on the Isle of Man). But it looks like I'm going to learn to fly, not literally, I have a fear of flying and need to get to Columbus,Ohio later in the year for my son's wedding to his American girlfriend. In fact I'm losing two of my three kids this year, son to America and daughter to Canada. Was it something I said or did? :cry3:Looks like I'll be doing a course at Manchester airport and I'm nervous already!

After refraining from writing a page of lies about how bad flying is... (and I did really have to refrain :heehee:), the better side of me (:WINK1:) thought to tell the truth.

It's a bit like getting on a bus, only with folk offering you booze! I was nervous on my first flight, but you will honestly be absolutely fine...

If you need to start worrying about something, prepare yourself for the in-flight food...[hr]
oh, and congratulations to your son.

    Thanks Luke,

I'd better add I fear heights and suffer a certain amount of claustrophobia aswell. Not looking good is it? If the course doesn't work I'll be off to my GP for some strong pills!
