Most of us veg gardeners strive to grow as big a range of textures & flavours as possible, looks like we are wasting our time.

Most are fried in vegetable oil too, so plenty of veg there. Incidentally, chocolate, another frowned upon food, is made of beans.

Too true to be funny, Zig.
Long time ago I nursed a woman who refused to eat anything but chocolate.
She was skin and bone, needed 2 nurses 24/7 to look after her and a special bed with electric rhythms to relieve her pressure areas every few minutes - hired at some exorbitant cost.
She could communicate perfectly well and hand out her instructions about how she wanted the curtains drawn in her room and what channel she wanted on her television.
She wouldn't take a drink or anything else by herself, or allow herself to be fed with anything, but if chocolate was broken into small pieces and left in front of her she would feed herself all day with it.
All her needs and wants were catered for on the NHS.

    Blimey Alice,

No, didn't think it funny, just an indication of the hopelesness of todays upbringing.

That is a terrible case that you tell of and i'm sure its not the only one. I'm with Val, eat as much different food as you can, you only get one life & you've got to try everything, can't do it when you are dead.

Luke, I even poked terrible wife awake to ask her that one, even she gets her bantas & tauntans confused :what:
