I think the truth is we're all unfit, Clueless.
We're all occupationally fit for the things we do everyday - and completely unfit for the things we do rarely.

So true, Alice, so true!! I think you've got to be quite single minded to keep up and stick to a keep fit program.
Us fella's do have a hard time going to these "dance to keep fit" classes partly for the reasons Clueless stated [Good 'ol Clueless!!} and for other reasons such as not wanting to be asked by your mates in a pub to "do a routine"!! I did go to dance lessons when I was about 7 years old but found everybody was out of step bar me!, and it's been the same ever since!!:heehee:
I'm sorry, but try as I might, I couldn't help imagining Clueless, Lukenotts and myself in Lycra doing the steps on the floor - OH MY GOD!!! -- :loll::rofl::thumbsup: I'm going to have to run around the garden with a large Whiskey in my hand.

Is that it? Just a glass of whiskey? I'll do it with a glass of whiskey in one hand, a can of beer in the other, and cigarette in the other.

That#s so typical, Clueless, you're such an OTT super-fit person. I shall raise my double whiskey in salute to you as I run around the garden crying "Zumba" [sorry Pixie!], giving you the appropriate gesture with my other hand. "A glass of whiskey in one hand, a can of beer in the other, and a cigarette in the other"??? Is there something you wish to tell us about yourself, Clueless???!!:rofl:

What I want to know is how my cat, who is either filling his face or slumped on the sofa fast asleep, manages to stay a trim little ball of toned muscle with no flab on him whatsoever. :heehee:

I would definately agree with the zumba point - it's amazing!

However it's a shame that as has been pointed out, the classes aren't really suitable for men.

But, for men who are interested in going to a zumba class, I will suggest one thing - try looking gay! I go to loads of fitness classes that are all women bar one or two men, who I swear are gay, so no women worry they are perving!

However, you might start to feel self conscious for other reasons...!

Yes, true, but don't forget there's a big reward as well as effort involved, because being fit feels fantastic and it boosts your self-esteem.
