 very annoying indeed !
Even worse, there could have been a favourite white delicate garment caught up in it all

 Oooh a tricky one there Val, but when I do that, & it happens :rolleyespink: I usually put them in the dryer with no heat, just cold air, but the agitation usually gets rid of the bits & they collect in the fluff filter.... :WINK1:

Hi, the dryer really is the best option. If you don't have one, do your best with shaking and hand-picking. After the garments are dry use the sticky roll thingy meant for pet hair on garments, or alternatively just normal wide Scotch tape.
And clean the filter (usually on the lower right hand corner of your machine, screws out) and the rubber seal of your washing machine, unspeakable things find their ways in those places. :WINK1:

Every time my missus does this to my work trowsers, I find that a good wipe with a very slightly damp towel shifts it all in no time.

We have a white Jack Russell who loves to deposit his hairs on my dark clothing... and despite the fact dog hairs arent kleenex bits :heehee: ... I find by rubbing a damp hand over clothing garments works very well (similar to what clueless suggested

Good Luck!

Oh dear Gemini. That is annoying but we have all done it at some time.
I find the best way to collect the mess is to brush the clothes with a damp sponge.
Works for pet hairs too.

Been there done that.
It is very annoying.
As daft as the hoovering may sound.
I have used the vac attachment more than once to rid the washing of tissue and pet hair.
I find as said the dryer the best thing.
Don't you have a friend you could call on or even a launderette you cold use.
It's so windy here today a spell on the line might blow most of it away.
You could try another rinse when you have removed as much as you can.
I hope you get it sorted
