My Kodak esp 5250 used to scan, now it won't.

Tried to uninstall & re install the driver but keep getting a message saying UI file is missing, so downloaded driver only to get the same message.

Shall I resort to "Mr Lump Hammer" ?

This is scary, i've just been trying for the last hour to get my Lexmark 5150 to scan and it just won't, it'll print, but not scan. I also tried my other scanner today and that won't scan either. I am using my laptop as my computer has died and is soon to be fixed, but my laptop will not recognise any scanner, even though i've installed all the software! :th_scifD36: I'm ready to pull my hair out!

Oh no not the kodak printer I'm afraid we did resort to throwing it from a great height into the bin, ours wouldn't even print tried the re installing nothing worked , bought a cheapy one from tesco's in the end which works fine, good luck.
