    Hi Everyone,

I've recently moved into a property which has a garden in a sad sad sad state. Unfortunately the only 3 things living in it are 2 apple trees and a holly plant.

I'm not quite sure how to revive the apple trees. They appear to have some budding on the way, but not as much as I'd hoped. (See pic below)

I've made sure their poor roots had a good wetting and will continue to do so, but can anyone recommend what composts, fertilizers etc... to use to spruce these poor babies up?

Another issue I have is I dont know how much area to water, I'm not sure of their original sizes before they were chopped so I'm not sure of the root spreadage. At the moment, I'm covering about 1.5ft all the way around the trunk.

    Hugs

    Adrian

Eeeeek! I've heard from my neighbour that it bore pears last year? I'm lost now! My mum has a pear tree and it isnt as gnarled as that, plus the blossoms looks a bit different?

If you need a closer shot of the blossoms/buds lemme know and I'll go out and take a few snaps of one of the ladies.

    hugs

I have very very very random and sparse clusters of them. the problem is that they both seemed to have been hacked off relentless le (I'm not sure, never had to look after one) and I'm not 100% sure if this is normal grooming, or horrible care or what not.

    Any help appreciated.

    Hugs
