I've had this hardy Fuchsia for about ten years and have never known the variety, (ignore the two Spring Bells flowers on the right), the leaves are vivid yelllow when young and are for most of the year yellowish, greening with age later in summer. Any ideas?

I've been pondering on this a while, my first thought was Geneii by the foliage but flower is wrong as Strongy says . I can picture this variety in my mind but as yet cannot recall the name .

Could it be Royal velvet Strongy. The red and white one on the right looks like swingtime.

I don't think it is Royal Velvet 02 as the leaves are pale yellow at first and the flowers are pink rather than purple, it has been a mystery Fuchsia since It was given it 10 years ago.

Fuchias are so mind boggling as there are so MANY of them :dunno:

I love them though, have to have them in my hanging baskets

every year. Im sure you've already come across 'Fuchsia magellanica Aurea'

which also has the yellow leaves but is a single.

Good luck anyway Strongy in your ID search

It is definitely not Royal Velvet, I think it looks like Winston Churchill.

Val, the flower is similar to Winston Churchill but not the leaves, I'll try and get a pic of a young plant I have at work showing the leaf colour.
