greenhouse temprature

Thanks Pam for the comment. I have to say that this is a picture I found on the internet, which I liked.

The seeds took 71 days to germinate, and a month later they are now nearly 2 mm high! - so flowering may be some way off yet. :D

 

I planted some shirley tom seeds 3 are now about 3 inches high the other 3 are just coming through all planted the same time. So dont right them off yet.

 

I have planted 7 different types of tomatoes this year ,i have this morning transplanted 2 "Roma" 1 "Gardeners Delight" 1"Moneymaker" and 2 "Millions" ? .
All the others have not yet formed true leaves or only just germinated the "Beef" are exceptionally slow. I must say though they seem to have strong and healthy roots.
I sowed 2 seeds to a cell as i only want 1/2 plants of each type ,and i did not sow them till after Mid-April as my greenhouse was not ready.

 

Can I ask you pamsdish, ho hot your greenhouse is where you have your tomato plants? I'm worried my greenhouse is too hot at the moment.

 

My green house is in full sun from morning till night ,and I open the door wide and the vents as soon as I get up in a morning. Which is 8 ish.

It is as I sit here, I can see the gauge, its 40 deg.

I have thrown a white fleece over them to give a little shade ,and none of them seem to be suffering at all.

 

Mine is the same 40 deg no shade untill evening. I have auto louvre/top opener, but I also open the door on may way out in the morning as well.
