Myself and my wife have recently moved house and just finished decorating and now started on the back garden.
The problem is we have two palm trees, one has totally lost all of its leaves due to the bad winds and the other is fine apart from a few brown ones at the bottom.
Does anyone know if the one without leaves will be ok and just regrow?

    Can you take a photo?

Im guessing the "palm trees" may be Cordyline, in which case the one thats lost all its leaves may well have been killed by the winter. Established ones can shoot from lower down or the base if not too badly damaged.

      Hi there,
      yes they are Cordyline australis.

The one one with no leaves is almost certainly dead, although may sprout from the base. Personally as its in a pot I would bin it and put a new one in. Will almost certainly look better than wait for it to regrow.

The taller one with the brown leaves can have the brown ones removed. They can be gently pulled away from the stem, its better to pull them off than cut as you dont leave the base of the leaf there that way which can rot.

      Good luck!
