Hello Everybody, the rain has arrived. Not before time. The garden badly needs it. The only veg I have left now are tomatoes, peppers and sweet corn all the rest of mine have finished. I have put a load of tomatoes down in the freezer for soup come the winter.

Have a good day everyone, Shiney hope your pears all go!

    Good morning everyone,

It's damp out there but not raining - yet.

I'm off to the chiropodist this morning, then shopping, a meeting and this evening, off to the bridge club as usual. Sometime in between I hope to trim the edges of the lawns and do some harvesting. :dbgrtmb:

I sold all the beans and pears so the charity is doing well. :hapfeet:

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

Running a bit late this morning due to a certain moggy of ours bringing a mouse upstairs three times during the night and he has a certain wail that i know means mouse so Mr K and myself had to keep getting up to shoo him downstairs and in the end he left it on the stairs so i quickly picked it up by the tail and gave it a sea burial as it was a gonna,so feel quiet tired this morning:mad:

Moyra, sounds like you have had a good crop of toms this year:thumbsup:.Mr K's are just coming on red so will go over to the lottie sometime today to pick the first ones for him plus some more fruit and veg's:D

Shiney, glad that the bean and pear sales are going well.:thumbsup:They are all stingy in this village so wouldn't buy any beans and pears as they are all so much in debt would rather spend what little money they have on all the cheap value stuff, not good organic food:heehee:I've been and made that appointment you mentioned but can't get in until Friday morning but will let you know how i get on.:)

Well the sun has just popped out so hopefully it will clear away the fog we have this morning.Got a load of washing being cleaned so once that has finished will get it hung out to dry before the rain comes tonight.I might get the lawns cut and edged as well with luck:D

    Enjoy your day everyone:sunny:

Good morning shiney and Kandy and all those who follow,
Raining here again today, but I have lots to do indoors to keep my out of mischief.:D

More builders here today working in the rain. :(

Tomorrow I am doing my voluntary gardening job at a NT property nearby, I have missed a couple of weeks so will definitely go even though the forecast for Thurs is worse than today. :(

    Have a good day everyone.

    Good morning everyone,

Louise, that work thing's a bit of a B... I'm pleased I escaped years ago. :D Hope you have a good sleep tonight

Kandy, they forecast very heavy rain for us today and tomorrow but it's dry at the moment. We had heavy rain yesterday morning and brilliant sunshine in the afternoon. Picked another 20lb of beans but I expect to get through a fair amount of them over the weekend with friends coming Saturday and after the Chilli Festival on Monday.

Lille, how often do you work at the NT place? It must be quite interesting. Maybe I've seen you at some time :dbgrtmb:.

    Have a great day :D

    Morning Friends,

Kandy, yes have been well pleased with the tomato crop this year, only 4 plants but more than enough fruit for our use. I shall be filling the freezer with too many tomatoes. I am hoping my friend from Kent will be over to relieve me of some of them so that she can too make lots of tomato soup!

I have a 2½ hour physio appointment at the hospital this afternoon. A presentation on how to look after my back. I know what's coming it will be telling me how to use my knees to prevent back pain. How do they think I ended up with useless knees! Hee hee. So a waste of time but I shall have to go just to appease them.

    Have a lovely day all.

Hi Shiney, I try to go the NT garden once a week, but sometimes 'things' get in the way.

It was just wonderful today, despite getting drenched for the first couple of hours, we have such fun there. A great place, lovely people to work with and happy visitors. :D:D

You may have seen me ...... it has a Churchillian feel about the place (?)

    Good morning Louise and everyone,

It's Friday again so the long weekend to look forward to which will be nice although the weather might be a bit iffy like it is today :D

Louise, glad yopu managed to get some good quality sleep after your sleepless night.Sleep deprevation is never a good thing to mind or body ...

Lillie, you will have to put up some photos of the NT property you volunteer at so us members can see if the place is worth trecking all that way for visiting and as you are having some building work done at home there is a projects section where you can stick piccys and show us all the progress:thumbsup:

Moyra, hope the Physio went off ok and that you are in too much discomfort as i know how painful it can be after the event. We still have quiet a few veggies and fruit coming on so will be harvesting stuff for a few months yet but it is nice to read you have managed to grow some stuff and have the excess in the freezer:thumbsup:

Shiney, hope you are not getting too much of the wet stuff down your way and can get your picking and lawn mowing done:D

Have a good day everyone and don't get too wet :D
