or Chinese Flamingo Tree (I think!)

I planted one 4 years ago in a pretty dry, sunny part of my front garden that can be a bit exposed to the cold in winter (Surrey so never that bad). It has grown a grand total of 4 inches in 4 years so I think it's time to move it. I'm redesigning the front so ideally I'd like to move it soon.

If someone has experience of this tree and could make some suggestions I would be very grateful.

    Thanks in advance

Hi bluequin and welcome to GC.

What a beautiful tree you have. It is a slow to average grower ... but I think should have advanced a bit more than yours has so far. How big was it when you planted it?

I really can't help you here but I'm sure Pete will come along and hopefully give some advice.

Not a tree I have grown Victoria, so sorry cant help much bluequin.

It does sound like its growing very slowly, maybe it was very badly potbound when you bought it:dunno::scratch:

I don't think it was pot bound (can't remember) and I'm a habitual teaser (of roots!) anyway. It was a bit runty when I bought it, but I was so surprised to see it that I snapped it up - an impulse buy.
At least it's still small enough to try and move.
