Change the clock tonight

    I'm normally quite good with the changeover, but this morning when the alarm went off at the normal time 5:30 am (just because you've retired is no reason to lie in). I did rather wonder why it was still dark.

    At least the sun is over the yard arm an hour earlier!

    Look out the window! 7pm, and it's still broad daylight! Fantastic.

    If I remember rightly the clocks were first altered during the war. It was to do with the blitz. Sorry, I can't remember anymore, perhaps somebody of more mature years than me can give you more info.

    Thankyou Sheal, I thought it had some wartime connection even the GMT+2 to create more time for the farmers so they didn't have to get up so early.
